The Gospel Message in Our Windows

In some ways the Gospel (good news) is simple.  You could say that the message is that God loves us without limit, in spite of all the things that separate us, and that through Christ he has removed all the barriers.  Thus the most prominent of our windows says just "Come unto me."

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [NIV]

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.  We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Luke 2:40
And the child [Jesus] grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.

Matthew 3:16-17
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
Luke 18:16-17
But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Matthew 18:3
And he [Jesus] said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Phillippians 2:5-1
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1 Peter 1:3-5
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:21-22
Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.
Ephesians 2:4-10, 13-22
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the comparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus...
For he himself is our peace, who has ...destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility... For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are ... members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
