Directions


First Baptist Church is located in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland at the corner of Wayne Avenue and Fenton Street (north of Washingon, D.C.). Directions appear below.  For further directions, please contact the church office at (301) 585-5454.

By Car:

From the Beltway (I-495):

Take Exit #31, Georgia Avenue - Southbound. Turn left on Wayne Avenue (the 7th traffic light). Go one block to Fenton Street. First Baptist Church will be on your right as you cross Fenton Street.

Alternatively, take Exit #30, Colesville Road - Southbound. Turn left on Fenton Street. First Baptist Church will be on your left as you cross Wayne Avenue.
 

From Washington DC:

Proceed north on Georgia Avenue. Turn right on Wayne Avenue. Go one block to Fenton Street. First Baptist Church will be on your right as you cross Fenton Street.
 

Parking:

On Sundays, free parking is available in the church lot directly behind the church and in a public lot across Bonifant Street. There are also parking garages nearby, which are free on Sunday, for now. The public lots do charge for parking on weekdays; the church lot is always free for church events.
 

By Metro Rail:

Take the Red Line to the Silver Spring Station. (See the buses below if you would prefer not to walk.) Outside the station, walk up the stairs to the taxi stand; this is the end of Bonifant Road. Follow Bonifant Road across Georgia Avenue and Fenton Street. First Baptist Church will be on your left as you cross Fenton Street.
 

By Ride-On Bus:

Route 15 from Silver Spring Station or from Langley Park via Wayne Avenue.
Route 16 from Silver Spring Station or from Langley Park via Fenton Street.
Route 17 from Silver Spring Station or from Langley Park via Fenton Street.
Route 20 from Silver Spring Station or from Holly Hall via Fenton Street.
 

Bus Routes without Sunday Service:

Route 28 Van Go Shuttle (free) via Fenton Street [no weekend service]
Route 19 from Dallas Avenue and Four Corners or from Silver Spring Metro Station via Wayne Avenue. [No Saturday or Sunday service]

Metro Bus:

Route F4 and F6 from Silver Spring Station or from New Carrollton, the University of Maryland, Prince George's Plaza, West Hyattsville, and Takoma Park via Fenton Street. [No Sunday Service]
