Children’s Departments
Nursery (Birth–2 Years)
Loving, experienced workers care for your little ones while you attend
Sunday School and worship services. We have cribs, playpens, and age-appropriate
toys to make your youngster’s experience an enjoyable one. Cribs
and toys are sanitized after use.
Preschool (3–5 Years)
Each session provides the children an opportunity for free play followed
by a Bible story, singing, and art activities. Foot Steps (CRC)
is the curriculum used. The students are encouraged to attend the worship
service for the children's story and to return to the classroom with
the extended-hour teacher.
Children’s I (Grades 1 and 2)
This group enjoys learning about God’s world, Jesus, and the
Bible through active participation in learning activities. The curriculum
is Foot Steps, published by CRC.
Children’s II (Grades 3–5)
This group likes to call themselves the Bible Bunch because emphasis
is place on learning the Bible. The students learn the divisions and
books of the Bible so that they can find and read scriptures referred
to in their lesions from Formations, by Smyth and Helwys.
They also learn about our church, its worship services, and its various
programs and mission projects.
Middle School (Grades 6–8)
Teachers are concerned with meeting the spiritual, emotional, and
social needs of this age group. Students learn to relate the scriptures
to real life situations through role-playing, art, lecture, and discussions
and are encouraged to participate in mission projects, a summer service
retreat, and social activities. The lessons are from Intersections,
by Smith and Helwys.
High School (Grades 9–12)
Each Sunday the group shares concerns, studies the Bible, and prays
together. Students regularly have assignments to help with Sunday Morning
activities by preparing skits, making drawings, or leading small group
discussions. The lessons are from Intersections, by Smith
and Helwys.

Serious Bible study and warm Christian fellowship are blended in
our Sunday School classes.
College and Career
This class is for young adults, ages 21 to 35. Classes are geared
toward the young college and career person, looking for answers in
this often confusing and complicated world. Biblical discussion address
a wide range of topics relevant to today's young professional.
Young Adult Group
The Young Adult group meets every other Monday night, 6:30-9:00, in
the fellowship hall. Dinner is provided. This group is an extension
of the College and Career class, but some attend Mondays who do not
attend on Sundays. After dinner and socializing there is conversation
on the night's topic, beginning from a Biblical reference and then
ranging at will. The group also has other social activities from time
to time.
Seeker’s Class
This class is made up of men and women, above age 30. Using a combination
of lecture and discussion, the class uses Formations, by Smith
and Helwys, for its curriculum. The class has two teachers.
Sojourners Class
Members of this class are men and women, some single and some couples,
aged 30 and above. They use the Smith and Helwys Formations series
as the basis for Bible study. The class has one principal teacher,
and class members assist in teaching as needed.
Soul Searchers Class
Members are men and women ages 30 and above who enjoy a spirit of
inquiry, discussion, and the desire to progress in their faith journeys. Formations from
Smith and Helwys is their usual curriculum. At times the class elects
to study a topic of current interest not included in the usual course
of study. They now have six teachers, who rotate teaching duties.
Special Emphasis Classes
Special Education Class
Members are young adults with learning problems that require an alternate
curriculum to help them understand Bible truths.
Inquirers–New Members Class
Those attending are recent new members and regular visitors; the
class is intended to help orient them to our church. The class also
spends some time exploring our own spiritual journeys and gaining and
overview of the Bible.
Forums
During August adult classes come together to study topics relevant
to living out our faith in today’s world. Sometimes we have guest
speakers, and at other times we may use videos followed by discussion.
This gives our teachers a short summertime break and lets us explore
some contemporary ideas.
